Broadband Wireless Access – BWA

Deployment of wire based broadband access systems can be challenging in certain geographic areas and costly in thin route rural areas.

AirWalk advanced EVDO systems can economically provide wireless broadband access using licensed frequencies . Dedicating standalone EVDO carriers to WBA allows separation of general broadband access users from premium mobile data users.

AirWalk’s low cost stand-alone EVDO architecture allows deployment in specific areas of need without expensive core network elements such as the RNC. Base stations can be placed where needed and connected by IP backhaul networks to a common data gateway. EVDO provides robust coverage over large physical areas making it particularly suitable for thin route rural territories.

Wireless Local Loop – WLL

1xRTT based alternative voice services where wireline phone service is not available. Mainly for developing countries that have limited telephone services. Advantages are providing basic services for large coverage areas using low cost AirWalk equipment.
