Serge Pequeux
President, Chief Executive Officer

Serge Pequeux is President and CEO of AirWalk Communications and has driven the innovative strategy of the company since 2002. Drawing on his many years of  technology, finance, and international market experience, he has guided AirWalk to its leading position in the wireless market. Serge began his technology career with Motorola, where he led worldwide distribution teams in Canada, Europe, Asia, and Africa, and had a significant role in building both the GSM and CDMA cellular businesses. His career with Motorola included an assignment as technology advisor to the World Bank, where he led the telecommunication’s spectrum allocation and cellular development funding program. Later, Serge gained venture capital experience working with STARTech Early Ventures mentoring startups and helping them gain initial funding. Serge is a graduate of the Damelin Management Institute (Finance and Marketing) and completed an Executive Management Development Program at Harvard Business School.

Nasir Kafai
Vice President, Product Management and Marketing (Co-founder)

Nasir Kafai has helped build AirWalk from the beginning to its unique position today as an innovative and technology-leading radio access network company. As Vice President of Product Management and Marketing he has defined and shaped the current AirWalk product line and tailored it to the needs of customers and the market. Nasir came to AirWalk with two decades of wireless industry experience including a VoIP softswitch product management role for Xybridge Technologies, which was acquired by Zhone Technologies. He also played a lead role in the development and deployment of Nortel Networks’ first CDMA system. Nasir is active in the CDMA Development Group (CDG) and Femto Forum, and has a BS degree in electrical engineering from Louisiana State University and masters degrees in engineering management from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Richard Wierzbicki
Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Richard Wierzbicki, Vice President and CFO, has directed the financial and administrative affairs of AirWalk since late 2003, helping the company grow from its startup stage to a radio network technology leader.  Rich has spent most of his 30-year career managing and operating early-stage and mid-sized private and public companies, including telecom software developer BroadCloud Communications, which he co-founded and served as CFO; photo finishing and imaging services company Skrudland Photo, where he was executive vice president and COO; electronics contract manufacturer Tessco Group, where he served as vice president and general manager; and Code-Alarm, Inc., a Nasdaq-traded company where he was vice president and chief financial officer.  In his career, Rich also worked with Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance in New York, a private venture capital and consulting firm, and Touche Ross & Co.  Rich is a Texas CPA, holds an MBA from Fordham University and a BA degree in accounting from Michigan State University.

Chris Osborn
Chief Technology Officer

Since 2003, Chris Osborn has guided the product development strategy for AirWalk, shaped the company’s long-term technology plans, and led research and development for AirWalk’s product line. He closely tracks the advance of technology and the wireless market to assure AirWalk products meet evolving customer needs. Chris brought some 25 years of wireless management, operational, and design experience to AirWalk, including directing the strategic marketing for Motorola Asia-Pacific and developing IS-95 CDMA base station products. He is a regular speaker at industry events and is active in wireless industry organizations. He has a degree from the University of Waterloo in Canada and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario.

David Oberholzer
Vice President, Sales

Joining AirWalk Communications in 2007, David Oberholzer directs the sales team and business partners in key wireless markets. In his nearly two decades in the wireless industry, he has worked for wireless infrastructure companies such as Nortel Networks, where he sold first GSM networks to North America operators, then achieved top sales honors for starting Nortel’s sales program into Sprint PCS Affiliate companies and lead a multi-national sales team targeting Pan-European service providers while based in Amsterdam. David also led global sales at wireless startup companies such as BelAir Networks and Sensoria Corporation. He has an international MBA from Tilburg University (Netherlands), Budapest University of Economics, and Purdue University.
