Base Station Manager
BSM

The AirWalk BSM is an open standards-based scalable solution for the operation and administration of AirWalk’s AW-Series IP-RAN products.

The Base Station Manager is architected around the FCAPS concept, providing Fault, Configuration, Performance and Security management simultaneously for multiple IP-RANs.

Fault Management (FM) Module

The FM monitors the system status, reports and logs alarm and fault information, which is displayed in a GUI format.Alarms presented include information to determine the event, indicate its cause and the best resolution for fault recovery.

Configuration Management (CM) Module

The CM enables the operators to easily configure the IP-RAN for fast and efficient service deployments.
Through the CM operators
can administer multiple
IP-RANs simultaneously to dynamically configure
the
necessary parameters to provide optimal performance.

Performance Management (PM) Module

The PM gathers real-time call statistics through the IP-RAN and displays it in a GUI format for easy usage and performance analysis. The real-time performance statistics assist in day-to-day management, while historical data assists in long term planning.

Security Management (SM) Module

The SM provides three levels of administration security; Root Level for access to all functions, Super Level for
restricted read and write and Normal Level for
read only.
